As part of NATO’s DEEP (Defence Education Enhancement Programme) program, professors John Hagen and Abigail Stonerock had the opportunity to teach the Teach the Teachers course to senior officers of the G5 Sahel Defense College. During a week, our executives had the opportunity to discuss several topics related to the way to teach the officer trainees. At the end of the week all managers received the Faculty Foundational Development Program on «Student Assessment and the Committed Learning Environment». 

It is an honour to welcome these two distinguished guests. John Hagen is a former lieutenant colonel of the U.S. Air Force. Following his years of service, he served as a military advisor to the American army, notably in the Middle East. Having passed through the University of Massachusetts where he teaches aerospace courses, Lieutenant-Colonel Hagen is also the director of a strategic guidance firm for officers. 

Abigail Stonerock is Professor of Executive Communication at the Applied Communication and Learning Laboratory at US Army War College. She represents USAWC at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education Learning Innovations Laboratory and the Writing Center Consortium for Graduate Professional Military Education.
