The G5 Sahel Defence College is a truly regional project, and the first transnational war school in the world.

The five states have thus decided to cooperate, at the heart of a sovereign mission: defense and security, to create a high-level training school. By regional and international birth, this school is a melting pot of executives for the G5 Sahel states.

From February 28 to March 6, 2022, the G5 Sahel Defense College, under the direction of General Brahim Vall Cheibany CHEIKH AHMED, carried out a study trip for the 4th promotion to CHAD as part of the teaching program.
As part of a working visit with the Mauritanian authorities, His Excellency Mr Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda took advantage of his stay to discover the G5 Sahel Defense College (CDG5S).
On December 09, 2021, the G5 Sahel Defense College (CDG5S) received Brigadier General Michel Delpit commanding the French Elements in Senegal. He was accompanied by the Defense Attaché posted in Nouakchott, Colonel A.
