On January 17, 2023, the Deputy Director, West Africa, of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Mr. Emmanuel BESNIER, accompanied by Mrs. Héloïse Raison du Cleuziou, Political Advisor Mauritania, and Mr. Gérard CAIRET , 2nd Advisor to the Ambassador of France in RIM visited the G5 Sahel Defense College (CDG5S). Following the presentation of the said Sub-Regional Institution by its Director General Brahim Vall CHEIKH AHMED, the Deputy Director affirmed that the CDG5S is a successful project and constitutes an example that must be supported with regard to its performance and its good outfit. To this end, it has undertaken to advocate with the European Union to sustain the support, which had been suspended with harmful consequences.
